Hey guys,
So for my first two assignments with animating in pd, I made an abstract cow and coffee. The first assignment was a challenge because I had to make the cow out of primitive shapes and position them in their own gemheads so I could move them independently. I had to figure out how gemheads work.
The second assignment went fairly well. I made all the assets in photoshop and laid them all out on on gemhead. I had difficulty similar to what happened in class, but I was able to figure it all out later on. I am quite proud of what I was able to create.
I LOVE how your coffee pitcher has the artistic effect of making it look as though you are looking through glass throughout the entire duration of the animation. Even when the pitcher goes to pour into the mug, the pitcher is transparent and the scenery can be seen through it and it looks as though it is being magnified. Awesome job on this! It looks amazing.
I like how you chose to set the geometric shapes up for the first assignment so that it creates a cow. I just made abstract art with moving shapes so I think that cow idea is great. Regarding the coffee, I have the same thoughts as mcoryea14 has, all of the animations flow nicely into each other and makes it feel like you can keep adding coffee/milk/sugar as much as you want. Nice job!
