Project 1 – Part 3

This is way more in keeping with the sky projects I planned on doing. It is someone looking up at the clouds moving across the sky on a clear day. The code for it is really similar to the code from the rain sketch, so this one was much easier to do than the others in my opinion. Sorry that the clouds are just lame circles I was trying to make then more cloud shaped, but I couldn’t really get it right.

  1. I do agree that this sketch could benefit from more cloud-like shapes. A good way to go about this would to be arrange 5 like circles (in an Olympic ring format) all with various opacity, which may create a light, airy cloud effect.

  2. If you wanted to figure out something simple but more cloud shaped you could have made a cloud function that takes a center point and draws a cluster of 6 or so circles at that point. Or instead of taking a center point it could randomly generate them. Then you call that function whenever you would have called the ellipse function. I think the circles in the could could have been set up as a square 4 circles and one to each side in the middle y position.

    • Sorry that last line was meant to say: I think the circles in the cloud function could have been set up as a square of 4 circles and one circle to each side in the middle y position.

  3. This sketch is rather calming to watch, though the circles are rather hard to define as clouds. In fact this sketch makes me think a lot of bubbles. If it were turned differently and had slightly different colors I could see this sketch as bubbles rising to a surface.
